It’s the bittersweet time where summer comes to an end, and a new school year begins. The most exciting part of the new school year is that PRE will be recruiting new members and building a brand-new car for the 2017 Competition!
We will have new members meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 20 and Wednesday, Sept 21. both at 7:30PM. Meetings will be held in J223 in the E-quad. For those who have yet to develop E-quad navigational skills, we will have a group waiting at the front entrance until 7:35 to walk everyone to the room.
Lastly, we want to thank Danielle Alio and the Office of Communications for the amazing video that followed our journey to the 2016 Formula Hybrid Competition: Video Here
2016 was a huge year for us both as a team, and as individuals. We expanded our team to nearly 30 students from all disciplines and moved into an official Princeton Racing Electric Team Garage. In addition, we had significant Alumni involvement in the time leading up to the competition as well as at the competition. Out of 28 teams only eight teams were able to pass enough enough mechanical and electrical inspections to run on the track; we were one of those eight teams! Passing technical inspections is a major accomplishment for any new team, and we are very proud to have achieved it. Stay tuned for a short documentary of our 2016 journey to the competition!
It’s been a long week of work here for our powertrain and electrical teams as they have been preparing for the Pre Event Electrical Review. Today an inspector will come to campus and review the electrical systems to see if everything looks good and ready for the competition. We just had a successful high-voltage system test!
